Cheese Biscuits | Ants on a Log | Ice Cream In A Bag | Bubble Pizza
1. Cheese Biscuits
(ask your parents for help with the oven)
You will need:
Medium to large mixing bowl
Measuring Spoons
Measuring cups
Cheese Grater
Mixing Spoon
Rolling Pin
Circle cookie cutter or a small glass
Baking Sheet
Flour, 2 cups plus some for sprinkling
Granulated Sugar, 2 tbsp
Baking Powder, 4 tsp
Salt, ¾ tsp
Shredded Cheddar Cheese, 1 cup
Milk, ¾ cup
Vegetable Oil, 1/3 cup
In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Add cheese. Stir in milk and oil until just moistened. Turn oven on to 400 F. Place dough on a lightly floured surface and roll out to about half an inch thick. Dip the glass or cookie cutter in flour and use it to cut biscuits. Place 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for anywhere between 8-15 minutes, depending on size of your biscuit circles. Watch for them to look dry and lightly browned. You can even get fancy and try a different kind of cheese, or add garlic and serve with spaghetti…mmmm.
2. Ants on a Log
You will need:
5 or 6 pieces of celery, washed and cut into sections about 3 inches long.
Peanut butter
Cheese spread
Cream cheese
Raisins
Spoon or plastic knife
Dip the spoon into your favourite filling and spread it into the centre of each celery piece. Take 3 or 4 raisins and place on top of the filling in a line. Eat it! Yummy.
3. Ice Cream In A Bag
What You Need
• 1 tablespoon Sugar
• 1/2 cup Milk or half & half
• 1/4 teaspoon Vanilla
• 6 tablespoons Rock salt
• 1 pint-size Ziploc plastic bag
• 1 gallon-size Ziploc plastic bag
• Ice cubes
(note: you can substitute chocolate milk for the first two ingredients)
How To Make It
1. Fill the large bag half full of ice, and add the rock salt. Seal the bag.
2. Put milk, vanilla, and sugar into the small bag, and seal it.
3. Place the small bag inside the large one and seal again carefully.
4. Shake until mixture is ice cream, about 5 minutes.
5. Wipe off top of small bag, then open carefully and enjoy!

Bubble Pizza
2 tubes buttermilk biscuits
2 cups spaghetti or pizza sauce
favorite pizza meats: hamburger, pepperoni, sausage
favorite pizza veggies, like: olives, onions, peppers, mushrooms
favorite cheese: mozzarella, cheddar, American
Cut each biscuit into 4 pieces (total 80 chunks) and place in a mixing bowl. Add sauce and any of your favorite pizza ingredients. Turn into greased baking pan and bake 20 min. at 325° F. Place choice of cheese on top and return to oven just till melted. Cut and eat.
