Imagine That!
Think about what might happen if you could ski on the clouds…would there be a chair lift outside your door ready to take you into the sky?
What if your dog could talk? What kind of conversation could you have?
Imaginative play is so much fun, but amazingly enough, it is also good for you! When you put down the computer mouse or turn off your video games and the TV, you are using your brain in a whole new way.
When your parents get a delivery in a big box and you turn the cardboard into your pirate ship, you are actually learning new things!
With a great imagination, you can:
- Be more creative.
- Learn things more quickly.
- Solve problems by imagining how different answers might turn out.
- Increase your confidence.
- Learn how to play with others.
- Have success with schoolwork.
- Practice real-life skills, like shopping or holding conversations.
- Learn new words.
- Grow up to be an adult who is a creative thinker.
WOW! What great learning you can do when you fight pretend dragons, hold a tea party with your dolls, or try to make up different endings for your storybooks!
